Tell us about your collection for West Elm. What was the collaboration experience like?
It was a dream of KULE's to work with a home brand and what's better than West Elm? We were so happy to work with a storied brand like West Elm because we value that history and quality. West Elm's timeless design paired with KULE's playful and colorful aesthetic is the perfect combination.

What’s your design philosophy?
KULE is known for our striped tees but we have really branched out to also be a happy brand with playful graphics. We don't take ourselves too seriously, and I like to design pieces that will make you smile and that you can wear for life. I'm very inspired by art, design, and travel which you can see in KULE's color stories, graphics, and Instagram.

How does this collection reinforce what KULE is all about?
This collection is a reflection of some of our most iconic prints and graphics: the striped tee, which you can live in day after day, year after year; and the happy face based on the famous take out food bags. Stripes and smiles are core codes of the brand, and West Elm used both of these throughout the home collection. Our DNA runs through every piece.

What’s your vision for how these pieces will live in people’s homes? Or even your own home?
I hope that people are able to brighten and cheer up spaces with stripes and smiles: a striped shower curtain in a white bathroom, or a pop of color with a playful pillow. They're happy pieces to make you smile and add some KULE to your living space.

What’s your favorite piece in the collection?
My favorite piece of the collection is the Take Out bath mat. I love it because when you wake up in the morning and head to the bathroom to brush your teeth, or come home after a long day, you'll be greeted with a smile -- the perfect way to start or end the day. I’ve also been searching for a square bath mat for my own home and could never find one. I guess I had to make it myself :)
